We used to go to ""the old BEBT"" in the basement years ago with my son's pet snake, but drifted away with our other pets to a veterinarian who was closer to home. Last month my dog got sick. Really sick. I found myself back at BEBT because they were the only place open. Some of the doctors were the same (the Bergers and Dr. Conant) and many were different The care we received was excellent. It made me question why we'd left in the first place. Even though their larger office may not be as easy as a one-doctor practice where every person staff knows everything about my dog, the level of care was amazing. We needed a sonogrom on a Saturday night and we got it. We needed a transfusion on Sunday morning and it was no problem. And once I started viewing the many doctors as opportunities for built-in second opinions it no longer felt impersonal and inefficient but was really collaborative. I still like the small practice I used to go to, but when the chips are down and you need options fast BEBT is the place to be. It is a month later they still call me to find out how we are doing. I highly recommend.
