STI Movers picked up our shipment for our long distance move on Thursday, June 16th. This arrangement had been made by my husband, with their employee Steve. The movers were professional and amount agreed upon. A delivery contract was signed giving a delivery spread of 1-7 business days from Friday 6/17. Steve was contacted the next day and gave the same information, 1-7 business days. Steve was contacted again on Wed 6/22 about the delivery date. Steve informed Eric that the moving truck would be leaving the facilities in Skokie on the next day, Thursday, 6/23 and would be arriving Saturday 6/25 or Sunday 6/26 and that we would be receiving a call from the driver with a 24 hour notice. No call or delivery was received that weekend. STI was contacted at 10:45am Monday 6/27 to inquire why our shipment was not delivered. We were told by Beverly, a manager, that Steve was on vacation and she would look into our situation with David, who was in a meeting. After 2 hours, we received a call from Beverly stating that our shipment was still there and had never left the facility. She would need to speak to David, the long distance moving manager, and call us back, again. I contacted Beverly at 1:00 when no response was received. I was told she was on the other line and she would call me back. She called back at 1:30. Beverly was short tempered and unknowledgeable. She claimed she did not know why the truck had never left.
