I visited Powder Mill Creamery today after driving a fairly long distance to visit my family who lives in that area.I took the whole family out for ice-cream. The owner asked me to leave his establishment (after we ordered and paid and sat down) because I had a Dunkin Donuts coffee cup with me. Of course, being the ""good businessman"" that he is, he let us spend our money buying his ice-cream first! When he approached our table and told me there was a sign on the door that stated ""no outside food"" permitted, I apologized and promptly put the cup under my chair where nobody could see it, but that didn't satisfy him and he told me to leave with the cup. He did it in an embarrassing manner (upsetting my young son, who has a mental disability, as well as my elderly mother). If the owner had a nicer disposition or friendly manner about him the situation may have ended on a much better note. My local family members were apologetic about his shortsightedness and rudeness. We all agreed that we would not return. As the owner and operator of a store, he should take some lessons in how to fairly treat a customer who has already spent money in his establishment. I don't usually waste my time on mean people, but I see by the other reviews that I am not the first customer of Powder Mill to be made to feel uncomfortable there. Remember when going our for ice-cream used to be a fun family activity?
