I recently had my 1997 Geo Tracker worked on. I took it in for poor performance and excessive gas consumption. ( With the price of gas these days I was desperate.)The poor performance issue was serious and also dangerous. It would sometimes not accelerate from a stop light. What was found was a timing issue related to a gear on the end of the crankshaft and associated key and damaged keyway on the gear. Mike their very knowledgeable mechanic explained everything to me and we jointly made a decision as to the "best" solution. I have to say that the car has never run better. I think this has been a problem since I first purchased it 11 years ago. It steadily got worse to the point where something had to be done. It now has the umph to get me down the road. I have gained two full gears. The gas mileage has gone up considerably; nearly double. 32 miles to the gallon. My very special thanks to everyone at LK's for their fine work.
