When I arrived at the location off of Slauson it was pretty tricky because being my first time there, I parked on the side of the building, it took me some time before I could figure out where the entrance was. Although, it looked like you would enter from Slauson, but you really don't, they should have signs that says enter in thru the rear/back. I went in to purchase some herbs, the aroma from the food was amazing, it fill the whole store, made me instantly hungry.\r

The restaurant was clean and attractive, very spacious and had a great patio. I ordered, pegeon peas and rice with grilled chicken and two patties. It stated that my approximate wait time would be 25min, but I got it in less than that. My bill was $22.\r

The food was hot, the appearance and portion size was good. The patties were tasty and flavorful.\r

Okay, when I open the tray it had macaroni and cheese that was tasty, ripe fried plantain was good, potato salad..oh no! straight up nonsense. The rice, no flavor, the grilled chicken was good and although I told the lady I did not want any marinara sauce on the food, it had the marinara on the chicken. It also had veggies;broccoli, zuchinni mix, was good.\r
I don't think I'll be visiting the restaurant again.
