I have been to the Original Pancake House (OPH) many times since its inception (during the Gucci years) in the Twin Citie's Metro area - it was originally paired with MyPie (Chicago Deep-Dish Pizza) restaurants. I sorely miss MyPie - that crunchy charred garlic cheese bread - ohhh! OPH menu offerings are not for treaditional Minnesotans or sensible country palates. If you wish to order a traditional breakfast, you need to cut and paste a'la cart until you are over 12.00. OPH is for people who hate the loving comforts of a country homestyle traditional breakfast. All you need to do is look around the place to pickup on the stereotype patronage that it attracts; they would fashionably blush if a Fat Nats breakfast were laid down in front of them.
