Best

Excellent food and definately worth the wait (I window shop or read the paper). The bacon is some of the best I've ever had, huge serving sizes and the Mexican Omlette is superb!...

Worst

I have been to this restaurant three times. Two were disasters, the third was average. The food on the first two occasions were sub-par. On the first trip I ordered a salad wit...

Un-Minnesotan 5/12/2011

I have been to the Original Pancake House (OPH) many times since its inception (during the Gucci years) in the Twin Citie's Metro area - it was originally paired with MyPie (Chicago Deep-Dish Pizza) restaurants. I sorely miss MyPie - that crunchy charred garlic cheese bread - ohhh! OPH menu offerings are not for treaditional Minnesotans or sensible country palates. If you wish to order a traditional breakfast, you need to cut and paste a'la cart until you are over 12.00. OPH is for people who hate the loving comforts of a country homestyle traditional breakfast. All you need to do is look around the place to pickup on the stereotype patronage that it attracts; they would fashionably blush if a Fat Nats breakfast were laid down in front of them. more

Why is everyone fooled? 8/6/2004

I have been to this restaurant three times. Two were disasters, the third was average. The food on the first two occasions were sub-par. On the first trip I ordered a salad with vinegar and oil and was given white vinegar. Ambiance is average. The food is over-priced more

Food that's Worth any Wait 5/25/2004

Excellent food and definately worth the wait (I window shop or read the paper). The bacon is some of the best I've ever had, huge serving sizes and the Mexican Omlette is superb! This location is a well run restaurant, fun atmosphere and great service. I highly recommend a visit, Pros: Big Servings, Excellent Flavor, Attentive Service Cons: , The Wait, The Wait more

Org Pancake House 5/9/2003

The food and service are great, IF you can get in. Usually there is a long wait, but then that speaks for itself. more
