My husband and I went to Commonwealth Kia to look into purchasing a new vehicle. At our first meeting, Ivan was very friendly and informative. He wasn't pushy at all. We came to an agreement on price, we put down a deposit that we were told was refundable, and made plans to return the following day. Upon further review, my husband and I realized that buying the new vehicle was not in our budget and we requested our deposit back. At first it seemed like there was no problem, and we were told to return to the dealership on Tuesday for our refund. However, the salesman then continuously called my husband numerous time trying to keep the sale, despite the fact that we told him we were no longer interested for financial reasons. Both Ivan and his sales manager became quickly agitated with us for changing our mind about our purchase of a new vehicle and called us LIARS numerous times because we decided to purchase a more affordable used vehicle instead of a brand-new vehicle that we could not afford from their dealership. They are now REFUSING to give us our refund that we are entitled to, and they hung up the phone on us numerous time when we called to request our money back. We were never informed that the deposit was non-refundable; in fact, before we made the deposit, Ivan assured me that I would be able to get my deposit of $500 back if we were to change our mind about the purchase. We informed the dealership less than 24 hours later, and yet they are still refusing to refund our money claiming that they do not have to give deposits back to ""lying, dishonest customers"" like ourselves. I would be very careful when dealing with this company. They are sweet as pie if you are planning to hand over money, but as soon as you change your mind, they turn into slimy, dishonest men. I am appalled by the way we were treated, and I strongly caution anyone from making a purchase here.
