I Got y dog from a shelter and took her to Jiao b/c a friend goes there. you'd think for a 1st time visit he would take soem time to answer all my questions -which i had on a piece of paper...but no! once got into the exam room we were in and out in 15mins and i was given a bunch of medications for my dog without any explanation as to how to use them or why i as given them.. later iasked some other dog walkers their opinion of Jiao...and they cringed and said he doesnt send lab work out he just gives u his educated guess as to whats wrong...and he hands out meds like they are going out of style! 9 ppl said the same thing! i spoke to him on the phone 3x afte the visit to see if he could clarify a bit more. he was rushing me AGAIN and on the3rd call he told me my dog had something else that he failed to inform me of. he didnt realize he never told me he just thought he told me the 1st time.. 300 buck later and i was not satisfied. so i wen to Beverlie Animal Hospital and saw Dr Raiti..
Dr Raiti is a great caring Vet! he took time to get know my dog on my 1st visit. he answered all questions i had and he expressed his concerns... he also took time to socialize with my dog! I was very happy with him and will be returning! the staff is amazing as well! I also found out the meds Jiao gave me did not take care of the type of parasites my dog has! Raiti was in the same price range but i walked tu with more knowledge and piece of mind.

I followed up w/ my new vet for yearly shots.he had the records from Jiao&told me that not only did the shelter give her a Bordetella shot in Dec 2010 but Jaio gave her another one in March 2011-which i wasnt aware of!He also gave her a Lyme shot which he never told me about.If you think Jiao is a saint, please do yourself a favor&each time you leave his office ask for a copy of the records from that days visit.He only gives you a receipt, not a list of what procedures were done.if he tells you he cant give them to you on the spot, stand your ground and tell him you want it NOW b/c he scribbles notes in the records when the visit is over.when he tells you he doesnt have the records ready it means he didnt keep track and is going to make something up. iT DOESNT HURT TO ASK PEOPLE.. i've had nothing but inconsistencies with this Dr. and i just want other pets to be safe
