We have been living at The Woods for two years now, and have been fairly happy with the complex overall. However, since we have been under new management with Kormen the service has suffered! The improvements that they have made have been cosmetic and were done haphazardly. The common areas were just painted however there are paint drips everywhere and our door was not fully painted. There is also still salt all over the floor from the last time it snowed 3 months ago. They moved the bulletin board outside to paint and it sat outside by the steps for a month so they basically do not clean the grounds very frequently and the common areas don t seem to be cleaned at all. They did an absolutely horrible job of clearing the snow this winter. The sidewalks and steps were not cleared until three days after it snowed (see photos). We actually had to clean off the steps to our building ourselves so we wouldn t trip and fall. Our toilet has not been working properly for the past 6 months and we have had maintenance in three times to fix it but they have yet to do so. The new management is almost never in the office and they don t seem to care if they loose their tenants. The hours are not friendly for those that 9-5 jobs and they close early. They are also increasing our rent substantially to make up from the improvements they have done. Management is not willing to work with you to come to an agreement. The pet policy is also a little outrageous: $35 a month and a non-refundable deposit of $300. What kind of damage can my cat do for $300? Overall, the apartments are nice but the service is horrible. more
