Frankly, I am shocked by the negative reviews. My experiences with this practice have been very good. I have lived in a few cities and did actually use an inner city clinic when my son was young. This place is nothing like that.
I have two kids and have been going to CCP for years and have never had to wait long in the waiting room. They have always fit us in when they were sick, including last year on a Sunday when they were normally closed when my family had contracted H1N1. When I have called overnight because my newborn wasn't feeding, they called back within 15 minutes and were very nice and helpful.
The office isn't pretty, but it has never been dirty when I was there. No one but me ever seems to use the sick room, but that is the parents fault, not the practice. (Though the could make the sick room a little more ""fun"". There are never many books or toys in there.)
The receptionists are always polite to me, and if I call to speak to a nurse before bringing my child in, they always give me the time.
They have many pediatricians, practioners, and nurses and I think I have seen them all. They have differing personalities and medical opinions. I advise anyone going there to try a few to find who matches your own parenting style and medical beliefs.
The only policy of theirs I felt was a little out of line was them charging a co-pay simply to have blood drawn. I had been in for a checkup and got lab slips for blood tests, but they were fasting tests, so they told me to bring them back the next morning. When I did, they were going to charge me another $60 just to draw blood. So I took them to Quest instead and had it done for free.
