I am a regular customer at Hayashi. I am no longer interested in sushi anywhere else. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and they maintain a welcoming atmosphere, the sushi chef is very talented and cute! The food does not always come out right away, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when they are almost always packed, but this should be expected as it is not a fast food restaurant! Good food takes longer, and at Hayashi the wait is worth it. I recommend for adventurous sushi eaters; the caterpillar maki: an eel maki with avocado laid atop along with eel sauce or the sunshine maki: salmon cucumber lemon and cilantro its so fresh, I also enjoy the saba, hamachi and mutsu nigiri sushi- superb! From the kitchen I absolutely recommend the spicy seafood udon: a hearty spicy soup with scallops, mussels, shrimp and vegetables- a must try! They are also one of the few restaurants around to serve authentic Korean dishes, the Bulgoki is a Korean marinated beef dish served on a hot sizzling skillet. They also have the Korean dish, Bibimbob, which is a delicious combination of marinated vegetables on rice with an egg atop served with a Korean chili paste. There are plenty of Japanese dishes as well along with the best pad thai!!!
