This place is all smoke and mirrors. When I went for an initial tour, I was given a long, drawn-out explanation of their theory on the ""pack mentality"" of dogs. Sounds good right? Don't buy it - it's just an excuse to hire the fewest number of handlers possible on any one day. If you spend a few minutes watching the drop-off/pick-up process it's obvious they're normally understaffed. Additionally, most of the people who work here fancy themselves as some sort of Cesar Milan dog whisperers, but they're not. Be careful taking training advice from them - kind of like taking child-rearing advice from your kid's math tutor. The last straw was when I had to be pulled aside at pick-up because my dog was barking in the yard. Her theory was that it had something to do with the pack, and I needed to work on some training techniques at home. Look, I just want a place to take my dog where I can drop him off when I want (not when Central Bark tells me to), where he's safe and happy, where I can pick him up at my convenience (again, not when they tell me to), and I don't wind up with homework. The only reason I tried Central Bark is because it's close to my new house. I've heard several other complaints from people who have also left for the same reasons. I'm taking my dog back to his old daycare in Fort Lauderdale where, for over 2 years, everything was easy and he seemed happy. more
