Best Groomer in South Florida! 2/10/2012

I have taken my dogs to Miguel for grooming for several years now. Prior to moving to Fort Lauderdale, I drove from Miramar to have my dogs groomed by Miguel. We are loyal to Miguel as he has earned my trust and never disappoints. I never have to worry about the dogs when they are in Miguel's care and I know they are going to come out looking exactly how I wanted. Miguel treats my dogs like his own and they have taken to him very much. Lola hates to get in the car but when I tell her we are going to go see Miguel she jumps right in. Best groomer I have encountered in the 9 years I have had my dogs. more

Best Groomer in East Fort Lauderdale Area 1/22/2012

I have been taking my dog to Miguel for grooming for over 3 years. I implicitly trust that every time I pick her up, she will be impecibly groomed. He treats every dog there as if it was his own personal pet, and pampers them.. i'm surprised I am even able to take her home! If any questions do arise, Miguel will call. He not only has my trust, but respect in his communication with me. So many other places have been opening up recently, that I am not even tempted to try them. My dog has built a trusting relationship with Miguel, and what price can you put on that? If you truly love and want your pet pampered, let Miguel and his expertise treat you and your dog to a wonderful bath and groom. more

These people REALLY love dogs! 11/15/2011

I took my Aussie puppy to Central Bark for some additional socialization experience. She has two older sisters at home and I've had her in Puppy K and Basic Obedience, but she still seemed a bit shy (and she has a nervous bladder). I must say I was impressed from the very first phone call. It's apparent that this group of people, everyone I've met here, really does love dogs. Whenever I pick up my little puppy, she pee's, but it's getting much better. I always apologize and they just grab the mop and clean up her mess with a smile. They've even taken the time to show me pictures of her little ""friends"" so I know who she has fun with during the day. It's quite a haul for me to drop her off and pick her up (I live and work on the West side of the metro area), but it seems worth it. She's always so tired when I pick her up and she sleeps on my lap the whole way home. How cute is that? more

My Chelsea dog loves this place 11/8/2011

My dog is my girl - she is very smart and very social. At home she just was not getting the time from me while I was away at work. This led to a lot of naughty behavior at home, and I could not enjoy our time together, because she would be letting me know she was upset. We would have a wonderful weekend, and when the week would start up the Chelsea Monster would start up. more

Confidence found at Central Bark 10/8/2011

A few weeks ago I stopped at Central Bark to make an appointment for my dog, Peanut to get his nails cut. I spent some time talking to the manager, Lyndsi, about some socialization issues my rescued chihuahua was having. We agreed that day care might be helpful for him. Well, Peanut and I were both fairly apprehensive at first but the changes in his behavior in just 3 visits are amazing! He no longer barks at new people, he doesn't tuck tail and run the other way for new dogs or new experiences. I love the confidence he has found at Central Bark. I tell all of my friends that it's the best bet in town. Thanks Lyndsi and all the staff at Central Bark for helping my dog learn how to be a secure and happy dog. more

Amazing Dog Day Care 4/13/2011

I recently took my dog, Porkchop (yes, Porkchop) to Central Bark for dog day care and my Porky had an amazing time. I think i was more concerned about her time there than she was, but the staff there is awesome and calmed my nerves and hers. Porkchop has always been social, and this is a great way for her to be around other people and other dogs while i'm at work. The Central Bark staff really seems to understand and care for every dog that enters their doors, which is refreshing. Best dog care business around, hands down. more

AWESOME Dog Care. Best Place for your dog 4/6/2011

This place is AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME. I have been taking my dog there for 3 months now and my dog loves Central Bark. After nine years, I could tell he was getting really bored and felt bad because I have to work so much. Since he's started at Central Bark he's full of spunk and looks forward to going there an playing with the other dogs. Since I've been taking him there, I've begun using their groomer as well and he has never looked better. The staff there is excellent and they understand dog behavior. more

Stay Away 3/23/2011

This place is all smoke and mirrors. When I went for an initial tour, I was given a long, drawn-out explanation of their theory on the ""pack mentality"" of dogs. Sounds good right? Don't buy it - it's just an excuse to hire the fewest number of handlers possible on any one day. If you spend a few minutes watching the drop-off/pick-up process it's obvious they're normally understaffed. Additionally, most of the people who work here fancy themselves as some sort of Cesar Milan dog whisperers, but they're not. Be careful taking training advice from them - kind of like taking child-rearing advice from your kid's math tutor. The last straw was when I had to be pulled aside at pick-up because my dog was barking in the yard. Her theory was that it had something to do with the pack, and I needed to work on some training techniques at home. Look, I just want a place to take my dog where I can drop him off when I want (not when Central Bark tells me to), where he's safe and happy, where I can pick him up at my convenience (again, not when they tell me to), and I don't wind up with homework. The only reason I tried Central Bark is because it's close to my new house. I've heard several other complaints from people who have also left for the same reasons. I'm taking my dog back to his old daycare in Fort Lauderdale where, for over 2 years, everything was easy and he seemed happy. more

DUKE loves Central Bark 2/28/2011

My dog, DUKE, a yellow 108 lb. Lab loves going to Central Bark. He has been going there for over five years now and is just as excited today as his first day. The staff there, Lyndsi, Ada, Cortney and Jenny are great and give Duke all the LOVE and attention he needs. more

Miyagi loves Central Bark! 2/27/2011

The best testimony I can give for the staff at Central Bark is the simple fact that my precious pup Miyagi doesn't even glance over his shoulder upon his arrival at ""camp"" to see my departure. He is too busy soaking in all the LOVE the staff is giving him. more

Awesome Staff... Awesome Attitudes and Fun for my dog too! 2/27/2011

I LOVE CENTRAL BARK and my dog does too!! Thye give my little angel Jenny all the attention and time required to make her day at daycare full and exciting. If Lyndsi is not showing me the latedt and greatest products or retail items then Aida is telling me a brief summary of Jenny's adventures from the day. I really am grateful to have such a great facility near by and the staff really makes me feel good about going to work and knowing my baby is in good hands. Thanks Central Bark, keep up the good work!! We love you-Cortney and Jenny more

Great Day Care 2/20/2011

My dog Zoey loves it here. There are three outdoor play areas for the different groups (puppy's to 6 months kept in their own group) and a fourth coming, plus an A/C room for the summer. The staff are very down-to-earth and lots of healthy/quality food and safe, non-damagin-type toys. Some employees really go the extra mile to make your dog behave, as difficult as it is with so many dogs. The only thing I would like to see is more training of the staff on consistent handling/behavior when handling pets to help stop the bad habits from forming. I know it is difficult with so many dogs,, but they should not be allowed to jump up or rush thru doors. Some staff do a great job making them behave, others not as much. Lindsey the manager, and Aida are always great int his regard. Highly recommended more

My Dog Loves It Here 2/19/2011

It's a good sign when our dog Lucky runs to the door to spend time with his people and dog friends every Wednesday when I take him to Central Barks in Oakland Park. While the exterior of the building may look a bit industrial, the interior shines with the creativity of people who genuinely love dogs and a bit of whimsy. I particularly like the fact that the Central Barks staff appear to take extra care to ensure that the ""guests"" are well matched, and as a result, are likely to play well together. If you'd like to give you pooch a day of fun (and yourself a bit of time off), I'd recommend trying Central Barks. more

CENTRAL BARK ROCKS...! 2/17/2011

We have been taking Winnie to Central Bark for 5 years and we love it (and so does Winnie) They take such good care of her and she gets along so much better with other dogs since we have been taking her there. Winnie is a rescue dog and she didn't have a good childhhod, it is great to see her so happy playing with all the other dogs. I highly recommend Central Bark...! more

MOM, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! 2/16/2011

Jake is my Jack Russell Terrier who has been attending Central Bark in Ft. Lauderdale for many years. He is rather ""aloof"" unless he hears the words, ""Do you want to go play with your friends?"". At that moment the morning routine changes! His walk is abbreviated, his breakfast is inhaled and he shakes the entire way in the car from anticipation. When we arrive, he bolts out of the car.....and pulls me towards the door.......unlike putting on the breaks and pulling in the opposite direction as he does at the vets office. There is no looking back, no smooch goodbye, just complete joy as he RUNS through the double doors to ""see his friends"" and staff that can't be beat!! I leave with a smile and total trust in the continuous excellent care he gets. But the best part, at least for me....is an exhausted Jack Russell Terrier at the end of the day! THREE CHEERS FOR CENTRAL BARK!!!! more

Great fun for your dog! 2/15/2011

Our dog spends one day a week at ""camp"" and absolutely loves it. It is a great way for her to socialize and get some EXTRA excercise. - Boy does she sleep good on Thursday nights! : ) more

Trusted Care for Our Two Dogs! 2/14/2011

Our two dogs spend a day a week at Central Bark. They can't wait to jump out of the car as soon as they see the building come into view. We have always found the care to be the best quality and the staff knowledgeable and friendly - they have our dogs' best interests at heart. Our dogs come home worn out (in a great way!) from all of the exercise they get during the day. But they also get time to rest and relax. Since we can?t be home with them every day, Central Bark is a great way for us to burn their energy and socialize them with other dogs and people. We love it! more

Doggy Day Care 2/10/2011

We love Central Bark. Everyone there is very caring and attentive to our boy Gus. The facility is very clean and the employees really love the dogs. Gus loves going and would stay longer if we let him!!! We know he loves it because he is so mellow and tired on the days he goes. He sleeps soundly and I swear I see a smile on his face as he dreams about all the fun he`s had! more

Simply the best! 1/21/2011

Having taken my dog to central bark for the last 6 months about 2-3 times a week, I must say it's one of the best doggy daycare services out there. more

Thanks Dad - Having the time of my life 12/8/2010

A letter to my parents from camp: Although I have no idea who the Beach Boys are I certainly have heard enough of their music living with you guys. So now it?s my time to sing, ok howl, one of their famous lines: ?I?m going to have fun, fun, fun now that daddy has dropped me off at camp?! You know all those licks you get and my good behavior, especially on Monday, Wednesday & Friday?s well that?s because I know they are my camp days. I?m going to see all my friends and play until I drop. I certainly was nervous that very first day on my way to camp as you kept talking too me in the car and reassuring me everything would be find, I thought maybe we were going to the vet again for a little snip, snip but as soon we got out of the car with my new lunch box & I got a whiff of the air, I knew something was different. I loved the welcome sign outside the door with my name, ok you loved it, I cannot read, & then when we went inside, WOW! I was greeted with a huge hello & smile from Ada, boy do I love her, & before you knew it, I was off & running. Sorry I forgot to look back & say good-bye, but heck I was walking through those pearly gates on my way to heaven. I cannot thank you enough for sending me to camp. I love it and all the counselors are terrific. I must also thank you for my late afternoon beauty treatments with Miguel. I love to make all the other bitches jealous as I strut my stuff into your welcoming arms at the end of an exhausting but thrilling day. I would write more but it?s time for the relay race & I?m captain of my team so thanks and love you. Dallas more
