My family met Dr. Whitney 15 years ago when our dog was hit by a car and she happened to be the vet on call at the clinic that my neighbor took him to (we were at work so our daughter called our neighbor for help). We did not use the vet clinic that she was working for at the time, but we were very happy to have the chance to meet Dr. Whitney and she has been our only Vet every since that time. She managed to save my daughter's best friend and help us keep him alive until the ripe old age of 16 (ten years after he met Robin). Since that time, Robin has helped us through many happy and some very sad incidents with our pets over the years. She has celebrated good times with us and has been a great comfort to us when things went bad with our critters. She has shed tears along with us at the bad times. We raise beagles along with other family dogs, cats, and horses. We also raise hogs and cattle. Dr. Whitney takes care of them all for us and does an excellent job! My oldest daughter, Mandy (the ""kid"" of the dog that first introduced us to Robin) is now 27 years old and getting ready to start active duty as a Navy doctor is leaving for her first duty station in VA in June 2011. She wants to be sure that I get an appointment with Robin to clean her current dog, Luke's teeth and give him a good check-up before she leaves. That is how much Dr. Whitney has made and permanent impression on our family, and that is just one of our kids-there isn't enough time or room to tell the many other stories! She isn't just our vet anymore, she is family to us! She cares so much for her animal patients and their families that she has found her way into our hearts even though at times our pets would beg to differ :)
