My daughter and I signed up online for a 12-week boot camp with Brown's. Upon arriving the first day at a local park, I filled out the one page application and proceeded to the weigh-in area. I was told I had to take off my shoes and socks to be weighed in. I requested instead of removing my footwear to wear the same sneakers each week for weight check. Randy, who claims to be the owner, barked at me in front of everyone present, that if I didn't take off my shoes I will have to leave. I shared that I have a disability and that taking off my shoe is a difficult procedure. I also mentioned that I included information concerning my physical limitations on my application but I had expected confidentiality. He then jumped up on the picnic table, called for everyone's attention, then announced that if ""someone doesn't do what they are told, like this lady over here with the disability (pointing to me), then you can get in your car and drive away"". I waited until he was done with his announcement, then I approached him and told him that I will be leaving and will expect a reimbursement. I also informed him that he violated my ADA rights by sharing my medical information with others, and that it is illegal to discriminate against those with physical disabilities. Furthermore, he lacks compassion and common sense and has no business running a boot camp without proper credentials.
