I am kosher and live on the upper west side and I have been waiting forever for something like Prime KO. Let me explain a few things first about myself. I do eat at non kosher restaurants and I do like to go out to fun spots downtown, but to get my meat fix and have an awesome nightlife experience I had yet to find something near where I live - until now...
Prime KO is such a wonderful spot for all the above reasons and more. I tried numerous amounts of dishes since opening and every dish gets better and better. A few of my favorites are: Tartar assortment, kobe beef sliders, gyu kakani (no joke the braised beef in this dish melted in my mouth) and the Shabu Shabu. What is great about this restaurant is that you can sit upstairs if you want something a little more intimate and quieter or you can sit downstairs if you want to listen to the DJ (I believe only there on Thursday and Saturday nights) and hang out with friends. Its fun, neighborhoody and always has something going on - I have actually seen a few random celebrities there!
Service is great and the general manager always makes me feel important, which is so key to a diners experience!
