I use to go to Westgrove Dental and was always happy with the staff and dentist. I thought everyone was so friendly. One day my husband and I decided to have some cosmetic veneers done here. The whole process seemed to go smoothly at first but after paying up front in full, they sent us a bill of an additional $1000. I thought, this has to be a mistake and I called the office and the girl I spoke with assured me it was just a billing mistake and she would fix it. A month later I received another bill and I called the office immediately. I was told the office manager would call me back. She never called and so I called the following month when I receive a collections notice! By this time I was pretty upset. When I finally spoke to the office manager she denied that we were ever quoted a definite price from the beginning and the amount we paid up front was never suppose to be the full amount. I find this absolutely ridiculous because this procedure is not covered by insurance and there should be no reason the price should change. She could not answer me as to why we were told we had to pay in full or why we were quoted a price that would not end up being the total amount due. She claimed there was no record of any of the conversations or price quotes we were ever given. We decided to pay the additional $1000 and be done with the office. I recently have seen another dentist and have been told that my veneers where not done well and because of this, I may need to see a gum specialist or have my veneers completely redone due to how the veneers were placed and are causing bacteria to settle in the gums. I'm very upset because this sounds like shoty cosmetic work will end up costing me dearly and my veneers are just barely 1 old. I will likely seek a second opinion but have a feeling I made a huge mistake by choosing Westgrove Dental.
