My dog was referred for an MRI by her vet. He had already taken x-rays and was undecided if it was a tumor or hip dysplasia. He wanted an MRI to direct course of treatment. After waiting 4 hours they didnt do an MRI-had some specialist come in and say she didn't need one. Out apt(on my cell phone message "confimining your apt for MRI tommorow) was for MRI not consult. They charged us some kind of specialty consult fee-we are fighting it with our credit card and i am prepared to go beyond that on principle. We had to go to another hopsital and get the MRI for what was infact a large tumor and we are treating accordingly. save your yourself $ and headache . Go directly to Vetrinary Specialty Hopsital in Buffalo Grove.
