We tried snaking out the main drain (of the 50 year-old Livonia home we moved into a year ago) ourselves 3 times over the last 5 months only to find out that the snake we rented from Home Depot was 50 feet and our main drain ran a total of 93 feet. After viewing the length of our drain with their camera, our efforts had barely addressed the roots in the pipes. Roto-Rooter came out within two hours of the call.
