I blew a tire on I-675 this fall and was in a serious bind due to being laid off for several months. Tires for my car are over $100 each new and at that time that might as well been a million dollars as I did not have it.
When the tow truck operator came to put my spare on, he mentioned Murphy's autocare and that they would probably be able to help me out. He called and the staff at Murphy's arranged to fit me in on an emergency basis. After looking at all my tires Dave Murphy quoted me a price for a pair of new tires that seemed fair but given my circumstances was out of my price range.
Knowing this, he then searched for a pair of used tires that would not only be safe but affordable.
I'm quite certain there was more profit in the new tires, yet they went over and above to help me out. Throughout the time I was waiting I found the staff very friendly, especially Dave, and carried on a conversation. Despite the fact they were obviously busy, Murphy talked to me like he had known me forever. I found the waiting area to be pleasant and clean. I have recommended Murphy's autocare to others and will use them again when I need them.
