I looked at dozens of places for my mom and did not find any that i liked, so my sister and i decided to take care of her at home the best that we could. After about a year my mother could not control her bowels or walk anymore. She needed 24 hour professional care. This was the hardest decision i ever had to make. I was surprised on how well she is adjusting, she even it likes it! At christmas time the kids from a local high school came over and decorated the residents wheelchairs and passed out cookies and milk and played music. Seems like there is always something going on. The staff is very friendly. I also like that you can visit 24 hours a day. I get off at work at 1030 at night and stop in to kiss my mom goodnight. If you have to make this rough decision like i had to, i strongly recommend you check this place out. The only con i have is her laundry seems to get lost all the time.
