Dr Sidberry talked extensively about TN law and how she does not get involved with prescribing anything for anxiety, such as Xanax or Valium. I was happy to hear this because I didn't think my family member needed it anyway. However, she then proceeded to increase a dose of a current prescription for an anti depressant and then write another script for heartburn medication. When I took my family member to the Psychiatrist two days later, I was informed that the dosage of anti depressant along with the heartburn meds has been discovered to be causing fatal arhythmias in patients and that any doctor prescribing them should already know about this. So, it seems that Dr Sidberry is definitely well read when it comes to keeping herself out of trouble with doctor shoppers but not so much on making sure she's not prescribing fatal cocktails of other scripts. She either isn't current in her prescription drug knowledge or just doesn't care. Either way, I won't be trusting my loved ones in her care again.
