When I took my car there I was hesitant because they only do business in CASH and will not accept checks or even money orders made out to the so-called Business. To my surprise after the owner took my car apart to diagnose it he informed me it was going to cost $1300 to fix. When he found out I had a warranty on the car, the cost and the issues suddenly started climbing astronomically to over $3,000. To make a long story short... he got his money for the repairs and instead of buying my parts & fixing my car he decided to take every penny of the money he received to fix my car and payed his past due rent on the place & other personal bills he had outstanding & lied to me telling me that he already ordered the parts & they are just taking a long time to arrive. 3 weeks go by and my car is still sitting out with my motor already dismantled all over his shop. Bolts laying around the areas where the hood closes caused the cowl grille to snap & break off when people opened & closed the hood of my car. I discovered scratches all over the hood as if it was used as an outside table. When I had enough & confronted STAN (owner) about the damages & the fact that he had my money he took his nail & scratched my car even more & told me not to worry about it because he has something that will buff that right off. He continued to lie about the parts until I called the place he supposedly ordered parts from & they informed me that nothing was ever ordered. Stanley then admitted to his hardship and that he spent that money to be able to keep his doors open otherwise he would not have been able to fix my car anyway. He explained that he is getting business now and that it shouldn't be but a couple of weeks at the most before he has the parts money together again. 3 MONTHS WENT BY and finally he decided to prioritize getting my parts because I had to threaten him with a lawsuit. In that timeframe I spent quite some time at that shop so I got a chance to over hear conversations he had with his Girlfriend Cynthia that runs the receptionist area about how they have not payed any taxes on the business since they've opened their doors and that the IRS would ask for thousands of dollars if they ever found out. Once the parts were ordered he took a month and a half to say that the car was finally fixed. When I go to pick it up, he tells me that I owe him another $1200 for the extra work he did putting the engine back together and that he won't release my car until I square him off. I was shocked at was I was hearing and almost wanted to commit a crime right where I was standing but held my composure. He also told me that the car needs a new intake manifold and that it needed new spark plugs and new battery terminals in addition to the $1200 and that if i square him off he will do the spark plugs for free and the other labor for free but I would have to pay for the other new parts. He would not return my keys and had his mechanic block my car in so that I can't take it with my spare keys. Hours later he comes back and tells me that he will let me take the car if I give him $500 even and that it had to be in cash but only if I sign a waiver saying that I will take the car as is and not hold them responsible for anything after I leave. I agreed to do that since taking legal action would have cost me more than what he was asking and i was too exhausted to continue arguing with him and his staff of crooks. To make matters worse, my car broke down on me not even 4 miles from his shop and would not start up again, it had to get towed to a family members house where we later discovered a piece of plastic was cracked and broken that went to the anti-freeze coolant and now I have to get it towed to another legit garage like the DEALERSHIP and have them diagnose it for all the issues that it has now after those crooks worked on it and robbed me of $3600.
