I would not recommend this bakery if you want a specialty cake! I had a cake made for my sons first birthday. I ordered a cake with an igloo on top, which I was told was going to be filled with rice crispy treat and covered in fondant. I picked the cake up, the igloo looked adorable! The cake was perfect! I went home and sat it on the dining room table for the evening. In the morning as we are leaving for my son’s first birthday party I notice that the igloo had collapsed! They had only made it of fondant (there was nothing inside to support it, no rice crispy like I had been told)! I was in tears! I didn’t have time to get anything else, so that was the cake that had to sit at the table. Everyone was asking what happened! I called the bakery when it opened on Monday, and told them what happened. They didn’t apologize, nor offer any type of compensation. They turned it around and said that I must have not stored the cake properly and once the cake leaves the bakery whatever happens is my responsibility. I was really frustrated because I paid $105 for the cake, $20 for the igloo alone, and all I asked was for $20 back. I told them the igloo was not made of rice crispy, and if it was, it maybe wouldn’t have collapsed, but they didn’t seem to care. In the end, they gave me $10 back but that was after several calls. My mom finally had to go up there, and the owner (who was there) wouldn’t even talk to her. I wish I had just saved my money and made the cake myself.
