I bought a certified pre-owned Subaru from a different dealership last December. After a couple of weeks, I was noticing the transmission was grinding when I was shifting and there was a clunk coming from the front of the car. Due to a horrible experience I had while buying this car from the first dealership and the run around they gave me, I refused to take my car back to them and instead took it to Schlossman's. When I brought my car in, they told me the dealer I bought it from never even submitted the paperwork to have my car be certified! Since I didn't want them to work on the car without the warranty they told me to just bring the car back whenever the paperwork to have it certified was done (that was a battle in itself). After I got that all taken care of, I brought my car in for service - they gave me a very nice, free loaner to drive while my car was being worked on. Unfortunately, I had even more problems and the service writer called me to tell me Subaru didn't want to cover the transmission work because it was basically worn out from the last owner (apparently wear from a previous owner isn't covered under the warranty??). Since I only had the car a few weeks, I was not about to pay for someone else's bad driving, especially since the car was under warranty. Schlossman's was AWESOME in helping me get this taken care of. They let me keep the loaner as long as I needed to while I was arguing with Subaru (one whole week!), and they were so nice every time I talked with their staff on the phone. Eventually, Schlossman's called me and told me Subaru let them know the transmission would be covered. When I got my car back, they even fixed the clunk (a ball joint, NOT covered under warranty) for free! The staff was so pleasant, friendly and understanding, and they made an awful experience a heck of a lot better for me. I will definitely be going there anytime my car needs service, and I would recommend anyone with a Subaru to go them, as well.
