I fell and broke my hip in October 2011. After surgery and a brief stay in the hospital I was transferred to Gracewood for care and rehabilitation. My nursing care was excellent and my room was always clean and tidy. Resident safety and cleanliness is a constant priority at Gracewood. The CNAs, wound care specialists, and nurses are very gentle, pleasant, caring, and always answer the call bell promptly. The doctor on call monitored my care and medications. The management staff coordinated a visit to my orthopedic doctor, preparing my records, even taking new X-rays right in my room. As my condition improved, I observed that all patients received the same caring services. The therapy department has modern equipment and a well trained and caring staff. With their expert daily guidance and reassurance my condition improved rapidly. They were always available to answer my questions. I also participated in some of the many planned activities at Gracewood and enjoyed talking with other residents and staff. I highly recommend Gracewood for rehabilitation and nursing care. When my husband decides to have his knee replacement, we will definitely choose Gracewood for rehabilitation.
