I purchased a 2012 Elantra from Lake Norman Hyundai, and I have never encountered a company so obviously contemptuous of their customers. After the sale, obviously. They promised a lot - and took a lot of money - and delivered nothing.
They didn't switch our insurance (as promised), didn't order our plates (as promised) and generally gave us lousy service. When Hyundai's online survey came in, I gave them a harsh (but fair) review.
Turns out that both the guy who sold us the car *and* the guy who did our financing were fired shortly after we bought the car. Doesn't fill you with confidence, does it?
Later, when I went in to find out why they had failed to follow up on my missing plates, the first thing manager Brian said was ""Oh yeah, you're the guy who gave us the lousy score"". After that, he basically refused to help resolve my issues.
Nobody expects car salesmen to be honest or honorable, but these people are just the worst. I genuinely could not believe the attitude I encountered. The car is great; the dealer, their management, and their after-sales service is attrocious.
I can't praise the car highly enough (40mpg and not a hybrid!), but please - avoid Lake Norman Hyundai at all costs.
