Will not back warranty 3/10/2014

I recently took in our Hyundai Santa Fe for an oil change and to have the low tire pressure warning light looked at. There is a problem with the light staying on because we got a flat several weeks ago and water supposedly got in wheel when this happened and corroded the sensor. I have had several flats on my Toyota and never had this happen. This leads me to believe that Hyundai wants to advertise this great warranty, but when it comes to performing it really does not want to back up their advertising. When we were at the dealership we looked at the new Santa Fes but I now feel we will look elsewhere for our next purchase more

worse customer service I've ever experienced!!! first off they had my vehicle for over 21dys while in there possession it was driven 575 miles!!! mind you I own a 2014 EQUUS needless to say if it was a elantra I would be pissed an to be totally avoided not compensated, no explanations nothing!!! I really truly believe me being an African American has a lot to do with what happen! Not only that not once was I given a new genesis which is what an Equus owner is suppose to get when my car is being serviced or repaired! I did contact Hyundai about the matter my next steps will be the better business burea an WSOTC-TV!!! more

Deceptive practices 1/28/2014

Your agent Sean Allison tried to sell me a cabin and an engine air filter on my visit there on 1-21-14. I was there for an oil change and tire rotation and Sean showed me two very dirty filters and said that they were from my Santa Fe which only has 17,000 miles on it. I declined the offer because it would have cost me over $80 to have that done and I did not believe that those dirty filters were from my vehicle. When I got home I examined each filter and confirmed that they were NOT the two filters that were shown to me by Sean earlier. I have since purchased both filters over the internet, good quality I might add, for less than $25. NEVER AGAIN !!!! will I have service done there unless it is warranty work and it is covered. more

Tom Furey, my service advisor, keeps me completely informed of the vehicle's service progress as well as explaining everything that needs to be done to the vehicle. I know, upfront, what the costs will be so that there are no surprises on the back end. I hope Lake Norman keeps my Hyundai going for another 87,000+ miles! more

I had quite honestly the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership on 8/13/12. I visited 6 other dealers in the Huntersville area and all of them were professional and courteous except LKN Hyundai. We were ""helped"" by Glen, who was your stereotypical used car salesman - pushy, aggressive, and not completely honest. We were looking at one car which he told us had 62K miles on it and then, 5 min later, he said it was still under a 60K mile warranty! He spent the whole time bad mouthing every other car we looked at from other dealers, even when I said I actually liked another car. At the end, I told him I had to go pick up my son from camp, but he ""only needed 5 more minutes"" to get me the ""deal I wanted"" (I had already told him I wasn't buying anything that day). He came back with literally the highest number I told him I would spend on any car and then seemed surprised when I didn't jump on this ""deal of a lifetime"". After all this the worst part came. I told him his attitude was starting to make me mad and he actually said ""If I wasn't pressuring you I wouldn't be doing my job"" and then started right back in on me! At this point I walked out and told the Glen and internet manager to never call me. I would never buy anything from this dealer and will tell everyone I know to drive as far as it takes to buy a Hyundai from anyone else. They would have to pay me to take a car from LKN Hyundai. more

I give this place 5 stars for their service! They were incredibly speedy and efficent with my car. They took very good care of me and I didn't feel like I was getting overcharged for anything. I will take my car back here again in the future. more
