Scam Artists! 10/22/2011

If you're going to upgrade your phone or buy a phone from Verizon, make sure you're purchasing with a corporate store. 4G wireless is an authorized dealer that calls themselves a ""premium"" dealer to help make them look as much like a corporate store as they can. Make sure you make them read ALL details of the contract to you before signing on the dotted line. The reason I say that is because they'll have you sign on an electronic keypad first, then print out the contract showing everything you're signing for. If you decide you want to return your product, you'll have to pay a $35 restocking fee, as well as an additional $100 fee depending on what kind of phone you're buying(iphone, smartphone, etc...). All the representatives are worried about is their commission. The guys in the store on Santa Monica Blvd are unprofessional. Their so-called manager walks around with a big neckless and oversized t-shirt. You can't even tell the guy works there. Also make sure to look at the retail price of the phone. Verizon allows their authorized dealers to sell the phones for whatever price they want. 4G Wireless, Inc. sells their phones over the retail price so that they can charge you a higher tax price on an upgraded phone. Don't even step foot in one of these places. It's a mistake just waiting to happen. more
