I did not like the use of the mouth prop that the doctor used to keep my child's mouth open for his exam, a first appointment for him. I was not made aware that this would be used before the exam. I brush my child's teeth twice a day every day, I could have told her how many and what position his teeth were in. Had I known, I would've have asked for more patients instead of using this instrument. I can honestly say, I'm going to have nightmares about this experience. All and all the staff was warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was very nice with places for children to play. I just can't get over not being made aware that instrument would be used if my infant didn't "cooperate". Unless there is a dire reason, I will probably not bring him back till he is over 3.
