My friend booked my pick up online and we had specifically chosen a certain pick up location near her house before completing our transaction. I was charged $14.75 for everything and we printed it out and it was all good to go.
Next day we got in the car, drove down to the pick up spot and were there 20 minutes early. I then looked at the print out and it had a different pick up location on the reservation than what we had selected on the internet, when my friend thought back on it she said it kept changing it to another location automatically and she had to keep changing it back.
Now, while I will take some responsibility for being foolish and not looking at the print out more thoroughly the night before, we DID call 20 minutes before we were supposed to be picked up at the other location.
But, we were on hold for 25 minutes and by the time a woman answered she said that I was called in by the driver as a no-show and that because I didn't call earlier I wouldn't be getting a refund. I tried explaining to her that I did call 20 minutes earlier than my pick up but had been on hold for 25 minutes.
What really got me though is how the woman dispatcher actually sounded like it brought her pleasure to be giving me such bad news. Absolutely no empathy that there was a misunderstanding. I might not have thought this was so lame if I would have gotten a little less attitude and unprofessionalism from the customer service.
Be warned, I wish I had.
