I've been going here since we moved to the area. The owners are very nice. They can get some good bartenders there but probably because of the low volume the good ones don't seem to hang out too long.
The regulars are one reason to visit this pub though. Talk about a cast of characters ! They are friendly and boisterous and if you like to people watch this is a good place to go.
As far as the food goes, for a bar - the food is pretty darned good, for a Mexican restaurant it's not bad. It is more authentic than most of the chain Mexican places which tend to spice things up to the hilt so if you like your Mexican cuisine more authentic, you'll love the food here. They also have American foods that are usually well prepared as well.
Free food is usually available for the Bears games half-times and the drinks are definitely reasonably priced, and they have daily food and drink specials. Probably the best prices around.
I keep going because of the pricing and the regulars, I've never had a ""bad"" meal and the owners are cool too.
