It's unfortunate that both previous reviewers had a unsatisfactory experience at Cornish Pasty and it appears they were both present for the same dining experience. I don't think it's fair to have this amazing restaurant judged unfairly by one table, so I'll offer my thoughts!
I feel that Cornish Pasty is an excellent restaurant with a unique atmosphere. Every person I have taken there loves the food and the beer, and its become the restaurant of choice amongst my friends for get-togethers.
The restaurant offers an extensive menu for the customer, filled with unique pasty recipes that will satisfy every style and flavor imaginable. There's traditional pasties such as shepherd's pie and peppered steak to spicy Indian, Italian, and Cajun flavors.
Just don't forget what you're ordering... pasties originated as warm meals on the go for English miners, so if you go in expecting a more traditional ""Americanized"" menu you will be disappointed. However, if a laid back pub atmosphere is more your style, this place is fantastic.
Also, I recommend reading the reviews for their location in Tempe as well. Since it's so close to ASU, that seems to be their more popular location.
