I recently purchased a used car from Subaru city. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone.
The car I bought had noise coming from the rear brakes (a common occurrence) so I had made the sale contingent on a brake inspection. When I came back the next day to finish the paperwork the inspection hadn't been performed. I had to come back the next day so that they could do the inspection while I was there. I didn't really care to see the brakes, I just wanted them fixed!. I arrived at 9 a.m. the next day because my salesman had mentioned that it's not a good idea to come between 12 and 1 p.m because they have lunch then. (please forgive me for interrupting your lunch with $10,000) At that time the inspection still had not been done, and I waited two more hours for it to be completed.
Finally, I was close to driving off in my new car. I offered to physically change over the plates myself since I had things to do and was tired of their drab waiting area. My salesman said, ""No that's my job."" Eventually he was able to pull himself away from a conversation with one of his co-workers and actually change the plates. After he had finished he informed me that they had somehow lost the spare key overnight and that I would need to come and get it once they locate it. This is really inconvenient since I live about 15 miles away, work full-time, and take 18 credits at school.
Obviously, I'm not happy at all with their customer service. The car is fine, but had I known what I was getting myself into with them I would have walked away from the deal. I cannot find words strong enough to properly convey how poorly they handled my transaction. I will never buy another car from them, and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
