Made an application to renew my membership. They stated I would need to pay a fee from a previous loan - one that no one had EVER contacted me about, but they needed to research it first. I had to initiate all calls for updates. After 10 days, they finally told me I would have to come in to one of their branches to speak to someone. They were not able to explain how speaking to someone in person was of more benefit than speaking to them over the phone - other than wasting my gas and time.
