I generally feel tightness in the pit of my stomach when I have to buy a car. After buying my used Audi A4 at Exceptional Motorcars in Pittsburgh I found that any tension was caused by me anticipating the worst, not from Frank who owns the company and sells the cars. Frank was truly professional and voraciously honest. No games, no pressure just sincere answers to any questions I had. I can actually say I enjoyed the experience. That is not a common expression after buying a car from a used car dealer.
But the real test of someone's ethics is when there is a problem. My Audi had a several hundred dollar unknown issue after I purchased it. The car was sold without a warranty from Exceptional. I accepted it that way. Frank was amazing; asking questions like ""Would you like to return the car and get a full refund?"" Saying things like, ""I'll take care of it and pay for everything,"" which he did. He stood behind what he sold and made it so peaceful and easy to do business with him. How often do you hear that? It was a solvable problem. I was very happy that I found Frank and Exceptional Motorcars and I will recommend him and buy from him in the future.
