i had installed out of there for a long time. beckys brother arnie buys these remnant packages at discounted prices. the remnant might be 12 foot wide by 22 feet long and he paid around $3 for it and charging $300. they get them everyone once in a while. i have done alot of jobs where in those were missing the backing and i was told to put it in still. chances are if its shredding there might not be a backing. yes beckys do have 2nds and 3rds. if they deny it they are lying i personally put in a remnant with a vent hole cut out it was like that when the customer bought it. those are sold as it so they are not responsible if something goes wrong they and everyone blames installers. which some installers are bad one put in a remnant vinyl piece knowing there was a flaw, a blue line down it that wasnt supposed to be there, he put it in anyways and when they called to complain he tells them if they want to pay him to rip it out pay for a new piece and pay him to do the work again he would fix it. real nice the same day you have a new bathroom floor put in. they actually have 1 installer that had been training for 3 or 4 months and couldnt do seams stretch the carpet right and cant make it have that finished look and never did anything but carpet for 3 months out on his own because of the guy that wont take care of customers. so in conclusion avoid them at all costs unless you know an installer who can go with you to look at materials and see if there is any flaws which if you look hard enough you will. and never get berber carpet with a pattern there because they are seconds the pattern never lines up.
