Our older cat had what looked like a serious bowel obstruction, so we called VCA and asked after it. The lady told us to hurry in. So we did. And waited. And waited. The ladies behind the desk were very nice, but we were otherwise completely ignored. Our poor cat had to wait over an hour, When we finally asked how long it would be, were told another half an hour minimum.\r

Now tell me, is it or is it not cruel to make an animal wait around for an hour and a half, with his bowels obstructed?? He could be risking infection, and he is in pain, but we can't get him treated in a timely manner. The doctors need to learn what triage actually means.
