A month after I was eligible for food stamps my service was terminated. How many times does someone need to apply. Also it took a month just to receive the food stamp. I think the system, in general, is whack. It seems like when honest people are really in need they get screwed over and they make it literally impossible for you to get that which you need. I met a woman at the FS office who has been on food stamps for 10 years; she was giving me calculations, percentages up the gazoo! It seems like people have been milking the system for years and know it like the back of their hands are the ones who are benefiting. Meanwhile, those of us who have been paying our taxes, who have been effected by this economy can't seem to get any help at all!
