I have been riding at Glen Grove for quite a long time... I started there when i was 7 & have been riding ever since. This place does have certain drawbacks, it is dirty, the school horses are run down and mistreated, and the turnout is minimal. i have boarded horses here and ridden countless others, the owner is a bit difficult to work with but i believe that is because she has a tough job. the trainers here are rough with children and sometimes do yell unnecessarily but they also do this for their safety, many children have trouble listening (i have worked with them) and the 6th time they repeat the warning, yells are needed. if you do come to glen grove expecting your child to be the next great... move along. the trainers here are great at the basics but in the end will take your child to limited places. Other farms have better treatment of the horses, riders, and parents and ocassionaly better prices. They will also bring your children to bigger places and allow them to grow as riders. I hope that someday glen grove will get someone that will love it and bring it to its full potential because it could be quite beautiful and quite more lucrative, but i cant imagine that day is soon and i wont be holding my breath.
