My son was reading at at 2.1 reading comprehension grade level when we started Sylvan in March of last year. He was in 3rd grade. We got a couple of months under our belt and went throughout the summer as much as we could. He started the school year out at a 2.5 reading comprehension grade level when he started 4th grade but his vocabulary was up to 5th grade. We slowed down the vocabulary and focused on his reading comprehension. By this school years end he was comprehending at a 5.0 grade level. We are so glad we could do this for our son. He likes to read now. He hated it before!
