I actually switched to Riner Animal Hospital from Town and Country Vet in Christiansburg a couple of years ago. My dog had an infection and had to go back to T&C several times b/c they did not give the right meds and I was charged an exam fee everytime I had to bring her back in (3 times in one week!) I was also waiting in the waiting room for an hour even when I had an appointment. After that I switched to Riner Animal Hospital. \r
When I took my dog, a neighbor in vet school had convinced me that she had a mast cell tumor and needed an expensive biopsy. The vet I worked with suggested that we rule out small problems before we did something that costly and invasive. Turns out she just had a little skin infection and we were able to clear it up with some cheap meds. I am glad that they didn't jump right to the costly procedure that I was pushing for.\r
