My 95 S-10 had a leaking gas tank, leaking rear pinion seal, and leaking transfer case gaskets. I normally would do the work myself and had, in fact, purchased the parts already, but things suddenly got too busy. So I took it to Johnson's Garage. Just in parts, Mr. Johnson wanted to charge me $196.85 for a new fuel tank and $30.40 for a pinion seal. I explained to him that I got the parts from Advanced Auto already for $126 for fuel tank and $11 for pinion seal, and asked him to use those parts, he got frustrated and told me that he doesn't put on others parts. This is a normal policy for shops, but the way in which he said it was very unprofessional. When I started to ask him another question, he cut me off and said he would take it off the lift and it would be waiting for me, and then hung up. One good thing is that he didn't charge me for the estimate. However, their parts are way over-priced, almost unethically so, and their attitude is completely unprofessional.
