This place, likee many other corporate owned practices, is a total money pit, charging you for every little thing - I swear if my dog took an extras breath I was charged. As I rescue, I have seen many, many different vets and specialists over the last 15 years and can speak to pricing very well. This place is nuts! the care my dog received was good and my vet wanted me to see the particular specialist that worked at VCA. But I know, with complete certainty, I could have gone to one ofthe other specialists in the area and spent less with the same level of care. I would go to Veterinary Specialty clinic/Surgical Referall in Buffalo Grove first, or Northbrook Critical Care, or even Arboretum View (very pricey though) before I ever came back here. They only get stars b/c the doc was actually good. HOping he leaves and opens his own practice. And btw - after going to another VCA in the area for basic care, I think they all suck.
