Sonya is a consummate chef. You can see, smell and taste in her dishes that she cares deeply about each and every plate that leaves the kitchen. Her flavors are direct, warm and welcoming. For my last visit I had the sea bass. It arrived on a light bed of spaghetti squash and spinach. It was spot on perfect, seared to perfection and delicious. Each bite was flavorful and absolutely perfect. I would have ordered a second round if it wouldn't make me feel like a pig. The spaghetti squash and spinach was brilliant too, slightly sweet and savory, a perfect complement to the fish. My partner had the Pesto Tortellini. He said the tortellini was cooked spot on al-dente with the creamy ricotta filling perfectly balanced with a creamy pesto. It was well portioned, leaving you wanting a bit more which is always a good sign.
My partner and I eat there as often as we can and over the past several months have never been disappointed by either the food or the service. Our last visit included a guest who is usually finicky and critical of everything but she too was impressed by Sonya's cooking.
Regarding service, Roy is the server that has been there for as long as we've been going and he is charming, quick and very easy on the eyes. If he were a dish...
Logan's bistro is a lovely small restaurant that fills a much needed niche in the Orlando restaurant scene that is choked with chain restaurants and half-assed food. At its heart is a damned good chef whose dishes deserve and command attention. If you crave honest food that comes from the heart and soul of a bloody good chef then do yourself a favor and make a night of it at Logan's Bistro.
Pros: The food is exceptional
Cons: I wish they were open on Sundays.
