Going downhill.... 9/17/2010

I used to love Logan's Bistro...it sure has gone downhill..today for lunch, my companion had finished eating their lunch and I had ask (twice) about even receiving mine! We never got drink refills until we asked over and over; both orders were wrong - one had the wrong dressing, one was missing the chicken. Then, the prices that rang up on the computer were more than the menu listed price! The entire lame affair took 1-1/2 hours for 2 simple lunch orders. Too bad :( more

Little restaurant - brilliant chef 5/27/2010

Sonya is a consummate chef. You can see, smell and taste in her dishes that she cares deeply about each and every plate that leaves the kitchen. Her flavors are direct, warm and welcoming. For my last visit I had the sea bass. It arrived on a light bed of spaghetti squash and spinach. It was spot on perfect, seared to perfection and delicious. Each bite was flavorful and absolutely perfect. I would have ordered a second round if it wouldn't make me feel like a pig. The spaghetti squash and spinach was brilliant too, slightly sweet and savory, a perfect complement to the fish. My partner had the Pesto Tortellini. He said the tortellini was cooked spot on al-dente with the creamy ricotta filling perfectly balanced with a creamy pesto. It was well portioned, leaving you wanting a bit more which is always a good sign. My partner and I eat there as often as we can and over the past several months have never been disappointed by either the food or the service. Our last visit included a guest who is usually finicky and critical of everything but she too was impressed by Sonya's cooking. Regarding service, Roy is the server that has been there for as long as we've been going and he is charming, quick and very easy on the eyes. If he were a dish... Logan's bistro is a lovely small restaurant that fills a much needed niche in the Orlando restaurant scene that is choked with chain restaurants and half-assed food. At its heart is a damned good chef whose dishes deserve and command attention. If you crave honest food that comes from the heart and soul of a bloody good chef then do yourself a favor and make a night of it at Logan's Bistro. Pros: The food is exceptional Cons: I wish they were open on Sundays. more

Best mussel outside of Brussels 10/8/2009

I love Logan's Bistro -- I am a foodie and have enjoyed their menu. I go there at least once a month and think it is delightful. I have not had bad service or any problems. I especially love the Mussels and when they have skirt steak, I always get that. And the Mediterranean appetizer is great to share. Great prices and great food, what is not to love? Pros: Love the food! more

I visited this place this past weekend with my wife . The food i have to say is amazing but the server was the worst we have ever had .She was no where to be seen the whole time . Sarah really should not be a server at all she was horrific . Food was great and very good price and quality was great . Service is a shame get rid of your server and this place is one of the best places to eat in orlando .... Pros: Food was amazing , great I loved it .... Cons: Service was that you get in a hospital cafeteria . Our server was the worst ever .. more

Long-time Logan's Patron 10/27/2008

I've been eating at Logan's for over the past 2 years. I'm really happy with the consistancy & quality of their food. The servers could check in a little more often, but we come back because 98% of the time our food is always excellent. It's a hidden Gem that we really enjoy, and much more reasonably priced than other similiar styled restaurants in College Park, & Winter Park. \r Pros: Excellent Food Cons: Decor is very simple with concrete floors more

Not good enough 5/8/2008

As a frequent diner at Logan's, I must say I was so disappointed in my last dining experience that I won't eat there ever again. Stefano (our waiter) asked if we knew what we wanted to drink yet. I said, ""No, I'm not sure what I want yet."" He replied with, ""So you want nothing to drink?"" I said, ""I do want something, but I don't know yet."" He was short, never smiled, and made us feel like we were bothering him by taking a moment. We literally just sat down. Then, My husband ordered the potroast sandwich ($12) ,and I ordered the potroast entree ($18). Both were so fatty that it was inedible. We were asked how our meal was going and I let one of the heads of staff know that it was really fatty. He said that he would take care of the bill for us. I always feel bad complaining about food, but the older I get, the more I realize how much quality and service matters. That same gentlemen came back and said he would take care of one of the items as he cleared my husband's plate. Stefano came back and said that they took the sandwich off due to the meat being so fatty. Since both were inedible, both should have been subtracted. I mean, if you're going to take back your original offer to correct things, at least take the most expensive item off the bill. He should have had more confidence in knowing that if he took care of us...all would be right with the world, and we would be back to spend more money there in the future. You take care of us and we take care of you! See how that works? Oh well! Another one bites the dust! more

A Birthday Dinner To Remember 2/25/2005

Absolutely delectable. My uncle heard about the place through a friend and brought me for my birthday. . .they were out of what I wanted to order initially, however I ended up with the Green Goddess Salmon which was to die for! The Mediterranean Plate was amazing as well, possibly some of the best hummus I've ever had! The owner ""bought"" me my choice of dessert for my birthday. With the waitress' reccommendation, I had the chunky monkey cake, a banana cake with chocolate chips and cream cheese frosting. . .it was delicious! I highly reccommend this restaurant! Pros: Not too noisy more
