My daughter was going to her first prom and my wife took her out looking for dresses. They found one that they liked and purchased it and we were told it would be approx $40.00 for Alterations. When they went back for the alterations (The dress fit fine) they pinned it for the hemming and the seamstess said that they should take it in just a little bit. The cost was not $40.00 but $110.00 (we should have taken the dress and have another seamstress do the work) Two weeks before the prom they went out to pick up the dress and the dress was entirely too tight and the front of the dress was longer than the back. The seamstress said she would fix it. They went back again and it still was too tight and the hemming was the same. The seamstress was not there. They said they would fix it and my wife called to see if the dress was ready and they said it was so my wife asked if they were open on Sunday and if the seamstress woudl be there and they said they were(even though it was Mother;s Day). The shop called my daughter on Saturday and she told them that we would be out the next day and they said they were open 12 - 5. When we got there there was a sign on the door - closed for Mothers day. My wife and daughter went out on Monday and there was no apology and the dress still did not fit. We said we wanted the dress fixed and we would be there on Wednesday and wanted to see the owner (Linda) and the seamstress. (The Prom was on Friday of that week) When we went out on Wednesday the dress fit her but the hemming was still never touched. We asked for a refund of the Atteration fee and we were not given any adjustment at all. (This is why they have a F rating with the BBB). My wife had to end up hemming the dress. I wish we would have looked up the reviews before we purchased the dress they .
