I have worked in the hospitality industry throughout college, first as a hostess and next as a concierge. So I have called cabs for customers MANY times. Although yellowcab is the cheapest, I would NEVER recommend them to a customer. Every time I call, the phone rings and rings. If someone does answer, they are completely rude. NO greeting upon answering, this is the conversation: ""Yellowcab, what number are you calling from? Who are we picking up? Ready now? CLICK"" I've had cabs leave several times if the customers weren't waiting at the curb. I've also had cabs be 30 minutes late, and cabs that just never showed. This company is run by rude idiots.
