My wife and I have been looking for a weekly ""regular"" place to eat. We were getting tired of the corporate owned chains so we headed to downtown Stillwater. Over the past few months we have gone to about every restaraunt in Stillwater. The one we kept coming back to is the Mad Capper. \r

The staff is friendly and after only a couple of visits we were treated like regulars. The bartenders remembered our drink choices as well as the servers. We haven't run across a meal that we didn't like and the prices are very reasonable as well. We have had everything from walleye to burgers to nachos and they all have been perfect. \r

During certain periods of the week it will get a bit busy but there is plenty of room to belly up and have a drink while you wait. I would assume the reason it gets busy is from the return customers. In speaking with the patrons the general concensus is that this is one of their favorite spots. \r

We are true Minnesota sports fans and I have never walked in when a Minnesota team wasn't being shown when they are playing. If you want to watch something special, ask a bartender and they put it on for you. The sports setting is also very appealing. \r

In summary, this is the place that we will continue to frequent due to their excellent food, service, and atmosphere. It's a great place to relax, watch a game and have a great meal.
Pros: Lots of TV's, Family Owned, Comfortable Setting, Location
Cons: None encountered
